Students will tweet to their account at least 4 times a week through the Thanksgiving holiday. Students may tweet links to news stories, tools, blog entries of their own or others they have found, questions or suggestions during edchats, etc. During the last two weeks of class students will create a blog entry summarizing their Twitter experience, including the nature of their discourse, who the student interacted with and what sort of things they discovered. Twenty points of this assignment will be assigned according to the standard Blog rubric. The remaining thirty points will be assigned according to the following criteria: Student meets or exceeds the required number of tweets per week. Students’ tweets are informative or engaging and make proper use of hashtags and link shorteners. While a student may engage in Twitter conversation, all Tweets maintain a professional veneer and would be an appropriate workplace exchange. While retweeting is allowed, it is not over-relied upon. |
